Documentary screening: Religulous on  Thursday, October 17  7 p.m. -DiMenna Nyselius Library Multimedia Room

Religulous, a 2008 documentary film written by and starring comedian Bill Maher, examines (and mocks!) organized religion and religious belief. In it, Maher visits religious organizations and interviews believers from a variety of backgrounds, from Jerusalem to small-town America. “Snarky but unexpectedly powerful,” according to Amazon.com, the film is being shown in connection with HI313, “Godless: Atheism and Skeptical Thought in the West,” but all students are welcome, as are members of the university community and the public. Discussion following the film. Free admission.
