Books & Films on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & the Civil Rights Movement

The library has a new book and media display to draw attention to the Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) and his legacy as one of the world's advocates for social justice, equality, and peace.
Martin Luther King Day is an American federal holiday to commemorate Dr. King's birthday, observed on the third Monday of January each year, which this year falls on Monday, January 16th 2017. The library will be open from 3:00pm-9:00pm on the 16th.
Fairfield University honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. each year, in January, through a series of campus-wide events.
