Calling all Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert fans

Just arrived is the new book The Daily Show and Philosophy: Moments of Zen in the Art of Fake News (call # PN 1992.77.D28.D25 2007).  It contains 19 scholarly essays which explore what the "fake news" shows (specifically the Daily Show starring Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report starring Stephen Colbert) say about our news media, culture, politics and truth.   Of special interest is Fairfield University professor Roben Torosyan's essay "Public Discourse and the Stewart Model of Critical Thinking".

Our popular reading collection now has Stephen Colbert' s book I am America (and so can you) (call #  PN1992.77 .C58 I23) which may delight Colbert's "truthiness" obsessed fans.
