Blog post written by Library Social Media Student Assistant, Taylor Matto:

This Friday, March 2, 2018, the DiMenna-Nyselius Library will hold an event in honor of the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
Fairfield University students will celebrate the life and birthday of one of the greatest American authors, Dr. Seuss, by making a craft inspired by the trees from the beloved book, The Lorax, and enjoy mini-birthday cakes. Copies of various Dr. Seuss books will be on display and available to check out.
Dr. Seuss would have been 115 years old on March 2nd of this year. Throughout his life and career Dr. Seuss won many awards including two Academy awards, two Emmy award as well as earning a Pulitzer Prize. He has written many childhood classics including The Cat in The Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and The Lorax.
“I’m so excited to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. I loved reading his books growing up!” said sophomore student worker Emma Rauth, who is just one of the many students excited to attend the event.
Please stop by the library lobby and celebrate with us. The event will be a lot of fun!
