In her HBO documentary titled Citizen U.S.A., filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi chronicles the lives and motivations of immigrants from across the world interested in coming to American. From the film, “Every year, close to one million people from over 100 countries all over the world choose to become American citizens.”  Citizen U.S.A. discusses the goals, dreams, and desire of immigrants in their hope of becoming new American citizens.  Further, Pelosi combines these narratives with anecdotes of first-generation Americans like Arianna Huffington, Henry Kissinger, and Gene Simmons.  This full-scale feature on immigration and the naturalization process is a unique perspective on American immigration and naturalization.
