SERVICES
Returning Items
Due dates have been changed so that no items will be due during the closure period. However, if you would like to return items between December 23 and January 4, a book and media return box is located outside on the North (facing Bannow) side of the Library. Renewal services will be unavailable during the closure.
Research Assistance
Real-time research assistance online will be available throughout the closure dates with the exception of Dec 25 and Jan 1. Visit the Library website http://www.fairfield.edu/library/ to use the Chat Research Help box. Because this is a Jesuit cooperative service, assistance will be provided by a librarian from another Jesuit university.
Research assistance by email, in-person or by telephone will be unavailable between December 23 and January 4. Students, faculty, and staff who send email inquiries or leave telephone messages during the closure period will receive replies starting on January 5; queries will be answered in the order in which they were received.
Other Library Services
- Interlibrary Loan: Interlibrary loan requests submitted between December 23 and January 4 will not be processed until January 5.
- Course Reserves: class reserve materials will be unavailable during the closure; reserve lists submitted by instructors using the online form between December 23 and January 4 will be processed starting on January 5.
