Conversation on Academic Integrity – Nov. 15

PLEASE JOIN US! Conversation on Academic Integrity – Register!

Monday, November 15, 12:15 – 1:45, Library Conference Room, 233.

Last year, the library staff held several very popular events on the issue of academic integrity.  We invite you to join us as we continue the conversation on this important topic. Our goal is to develop a better understanding of student attitudes, and of best practices that faculty and staff can embrace to help guide students towards academic honesty.

We are happy to report Fairfield University has joined the Center of Academic Integrity (http://www.academicintegrity.org/ ).  For our first meeting, we invite you to read the Center of Academic Integrity’s online document The Fundamental Values of Academic Integrity (http://www.academicintegrity.org/fundamental_values_project/pdf/FVProject.pdf ).

We will meet on Monday November 15, 12:15 – 1:3 pm, in the Library Conference Room. Feel free to bring your lunch.  The CAE will provide dessert and coffee.

We will follow this session with two meetings in spring where we will be discussing Rebecca Moore Howard's Standing in the Shadow of Giant.  Copies of the text will be available to those who are interested in joining the conversation.

If you would like to join us, please email cae@fairfield.edu.  The Center for Academic Excellence, the Library Staff, and the Office of Academic Engagement are partnering to facilitate this project.  Additional funding is provided by the Humanities Institute.

Thanks so much for considering this opportunity.  We look forward to these conversations.

Best regards,
