The American Journal of Nursing (AJN) named Dr. Meredith Wallace Kazer's most recent book one of the best of the year in nursing publishing. Dr. Kazer, who is a professor and director of graduate programs at the School of Nursing, co-authored (with Leslie Neal-Boylan, Ph.D.) Case Studies in Gerontological Nursing for the Advanced Practice Nurse (Wiley-Blackwell, 2011), which was named a best book in the Gerontological Nursing category.
The prestigious AJN Book of the Year competition garners attention from more than 100,000 readers, librarians, and faculty, many of whom base their key book purchasing decisions on this award program. The gerontological category is for those books that best address the complex physical, social, and emotional needs of the older adult in all care settings.
