Education film, Race to Nowhere – screenings in CT

During the month of March and into April, the education documentary film, Race to Nowhere is being screened across the country in schools and theaters.  Connecticut has a dozen locations.  Click here to find a screening near you.

from the film's website, "Race to Nowhere is a call to mobilize families, educators, and policy makers to challenge current assumptions on how to best prepare the youth of America to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens."

DVD release date has not been announced as of this posting (we will be acquiring a copy for our library collection), so if this piques your interest, you may want to attend one of the many CT screenings.

If you're looking for something you can take home from the library, you might want to consider the new book and documentary, Waiting for Superman which is about the U.S. public education system.
