Through February the library will be exploring African-American history through film and music with a display of DVDs and CDs located downstairs in the media area. January 16, 2012 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and February is Black History Month. Take home a documentary, feature film, or music from legendary African-American filmmakers and performers. We're highlighting jazz from our CD collection, especially boxed sets from luminaries such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, and Thelonius Monk.
