Join us for the first of three part film series celebrating Hispanic/Latino Heritage month.
The first film will be Motorcycle Diaries starring Gael García Bernal, Rodrigo De la Serna, and Mercedes Morán. Motorcycle Diaries is the dramatization of a motorcycle road trip Che Guevara went on in his youth that showed his life’s calling. This event is open to the public. FYE credit.

9/27/11: Sin Nombre, 7pm, Library Multimedia Room Sin Nombre, starring Edgar Flores and Paulina Gaitan, portrays immigration dangers and gang violence as Honduran teenager Sayra attempts to immigrate to America with her father and uncle in order to start a new life.
10/4/11: Maria Full of Grace, 7pm, Library Multimedia Room This movie, starring Catalina Sandino Moreno,Guilied Lopez, and Orlando Tobón, focuses on Maria, a bright, spirited teen who lives with three generations of her family in rural Colombia. Desperate to leave her job in a rose plantation, Maria accepts a lucrative offer to transport packets of heroin – which she must swallow – to the U.S.
