During finals weeks the library is THE place to be! From December 13th through December 20th 20,840 people came through the library doors. Librarians answered questions about research and citations, the group study rooms were booked, and the desks and niches of the library were so packed with students that we opened up two additional rooms to provide even more study space real estate.
To help students do their best, as well as de-stress, the library's Outreach Committee planned special services such as study supply giveaways, free coffee and snacks after midnight, coloring stations, and of course, the ever-popular therapy dogs came by to visit! The Department of Recreation and Counseling & Psychological Services co-sponsored a Meditation & Massage event, complete with healthy snacks, calming essential oils, and helpful lists of study and de-stress tips. The Fairfield University Bookstore also partnered with us on a coloring de-stress drop-in event. Get the full picture of finals week and scroll down to view our infographic, and photos:
