On Friday, October 4 from 2 – 4:30 p.m., Fairfield students, faculty, and staff are invited to tour the DiMenna-Nyselius Library to see the newly renovated Academic Commons while meeting campus representatives from each division. The Virtual Reality Room on the upper level (room 326) will also be open for demonstration. Refreshments will be served, including wine and beer for faculty and staff.
The Library underwent a series of renovations this past summer in order to implement plans to open Fairfield’s new Academic Commons, which picks up on the Library's already established role as the hub of intellectual life for students and faculty of all disciplines. In addition to the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, the Academic Commons includes the following support services:
- Academic Support and Retention
- Center for Academic Excellence
- Fredrickson Family Innovation Lab
- ITS Help Desk
- Math Center
- Office of Accessibility
- The Writing Center
We hope to see you on Friday!
