Where: Library Group Study Room 127 on the lower level

Why: The Fairfield student community is invited to gather and celebrate the divine works of The Saint John's Bible with the practice of Visio Divina. The audience will explore these concepts through the usage of Biblical texts, music and sacred art.

At Fairfield University, such a study group is considered as a noteworthy event because the University is the first college in New England to have access to the Bible. Furthermore, this Bible is unique because of its creation. Its authors combined methods used from the past and present, which range from handmade inks and gold leaf to 21st century technology and current themes and images.

One volume of the St. John's Bible is on view on the main floor of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library (located under the stairs) and in the Chapel.
