Swing Jazz Event – 12/2
Come on down for a great evening event on December 2—Swing Jazz -- Introduced by Prof. Brian Torff. From our event series America’s Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway!
This event is part of 6 wonderful evenings of documentary screenings and scholar-led discussions of 20th century American popular music. The six sessions will focus on uniquely American musical genres: blues and gospel, Broadway, jazz, bluegrass and country, rock 'n' roll, and mambo and hip hop.
The programs begin at 7:30 pm, will last approximately one hour, and are held in room 101 of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library – the Multimedia Room. These events are open to the public as well as the Fairfield University community.

America's Music is a six-week series of public programs created by Tribeca Film Institute in partnership with the American Library Association Public Programs Office and the National Endowment for the Humanities, and in consultation with the Society for American Music.
