
Water, the 2005 drama directed by Deepa Mehta, will be shown in the DiMenna-Nyselius Library Multimedia Room on February 12th at 7pm as a part of the Water Film Focus series. The film is approximately 117 minutes and it introduces audiences to two characters who have drastically different living conditions in Varanasi, India. The female protagonist wishes to escape the lifestyle that she will be forced to accept as a widow. The male protagonist is a member of the highest class in Hindu society and follows the beliefs and practices of Ghandi.
