
As part of the Water Theme events series, George S. Logan, Director of Environment Management and Government Relations for the Aquarion Water Company, will be visiting campus this Wednesday, February 24th and taking part in the following:
- 5 – 6 pm, DiMenna-Nyselius Library Conference Room #233, Mr. Logan will participate in an open forum during the ID 395 Interdisciplinary Water Seminar in which senior seminar students will be sharing their ongoing water research, Water Theme student leaders will discuss their active interest in this theme and interested undergraduate and graduate level Engineering students will discuss/ comment about their focus on water. This is open to all students interested in water research, the economics of water and global stewardship. We also will be starting the signup list for the April 1st field trip to the Aquarion Water Company facilities (cap of 20).
- 6:30 pm, DiMenna-Nyselius Library Multimedia Room, the screening of La Source 2012. (documentary, 72 minutes), directed by Patrick Shen. The film follows the Haiti-born Josue Lajeunesse as he works to bring bacteria-free water to his native village. This film will be presented both by Dean Berdanier and George Logan with a short introduction to the work in Haiti and a comprehensive discussion following.
