At the start of each semester the Library staff are always eager to meet the new students beginning their academic journey at Fairfield University! The Library staff welcomed new international exchange students and graduate students on Friday, January 12th, and gave a thorough building tour and a brief presentation on library resources.
On Sunday, January 14th, over 30 new transfer students and their families attended an orientation in the Oak Room (BCC) and learned about various campus services, including the Library. There was a panel discussion with members from different campus departments and a Q&A session for the families. Last year the Personal Librarian program was expanded to new transfer students to serve as a touch-point for library services and the program was discussed at the orientation.
The Library staff look forward to seeing new & returning students this week and throughout the semester!
